Poor Men's Gold is n Ethnographic Documentry Exploring Kareez an anceint Water irrigation system along with Pashtoo Culture of Balochistan Like Khaiz(Wrestling),Bandar(Folk Songs),Attan(Traditional Dance) and similar other activities.It shows personal story of a farmer who lost hundreds of his orchid trees due to drought and water shortage. Kareez which is an excellent way of minimizing water shortage are also rapidly drying up.All this leads society towards derastic change and the whole society is passing through social and cultural transition. So this documentary is an effort to highlight this important current issue of water shortage in Balochistan and sesitize public to save water for upcoming genration as our country is going to see great water shortage in near future.This Documentary has secured Lums National Documentary Award,Visaak Film fesitval Documentary Award,SZABIT Media Best Documentary award besides being screened at Cinemadamare International Film Festival Italy and Voices for Water International Film Festival India.
